Tautoko 🫶💯 #AlliedHealthProfessionsToday we’re celebrating the allied health professionals who make a difference for patients across the New Zealand health system.

More than 40 allied health profession groups are involved in providing care to New Zealanders. To name just a few, this includes dieticians, physiotherapists, paramedics, podiatrists and speech language therapists.

They have specialised expertise in prevention, diagnosis, intervention and treatment across a range of conditions in community, hospital and education settings.

Here at the Ministry, our allied health professionals bring their expertise into the development of health policy, monitoring, regulation, and system improvements.

Thank you to all the allied health professionals across the country for providing support and care to New Zealanders.
